Jaffna troops voluntarily made another priceless contribution of donating blood pints to the Blood Bank on Thursday (31) in consultation with medical authorities at the Jaffna Teaching Hospital, will be put to good use, every last drop. Nearly 263 soldiers including senior officers, officer and other ranks serving under the Security Force Headquarters-Jaffna willingly joined with this humanitarian need of the Jaffna Blood Bank.
Blood donation programme was organized at the 4 Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps battalion premises with the assistant of both 4 SLAMC and Jaffna Blood Bank medical staff under the guidance and direction of Major General Sujeewa Senarath Yapa RWP RSP ndu, Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna. This programme was closely monitored by the 51 Infantry Division.
Finally, members of the Jaffna Teaching Hospital Medical Staff thanked the Army for its overwhelming support to the project.
