Reconstruction work on the bridge located in the Kandaweli area along the A-35 road, which was damaged due to adverse weather conditions experienced in recent days, continued today (13 December 2025) under the supervision of the 55 Infantry Division.
For this operation, a contingent of 01 officer with 16 soldiers from the 6 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, 01 officer with 20 soldiers from the 9 Sri Lanka Engineers, and 01 soldier from the Corps of Engineer Services provided assistance. They supported a team of 04 officers and 11 representatives and engineers from the Indian Army who are currently engaged in the construction of the new bridge.
