With a view to improving information technology skills of Army Personnel serving in Jaffna peninsula, Ranaviru Information Technology Training Institute Jaffna (RITTI- Jaffna) conducted a one-month computer course as the first phase. The training institute located near Thissa Temple, Kankasanthurai was established under direct supervision of Office of Chief Signal Officer under conceptual guidance of Commander Security Forces – Jaffna. The instructional and technical guidance were offered by 6th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps for the training of course attendees.
The certificate awarding ceremony for 17 Army Personnel, who successfully qualified in Computer Competency Licence Course, took place on 04th April 2023 at Security Forces Headquarters (Jaffna) during a brief ceremony.
Sapper Senevirathne JLSS of 10 Field Engineer Regiment secured the first place in the course and second and third places went to Lance Corporal Ekanayake EMLP of 2 Military Intelligence Corps and Lance Corporal Wijethunga EABS of 11 (V) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment respectively.
Brigadier General Staff, Security Forces Headquarters (Jaffna), Brigadier KND Karunapala RSP ndu attended the ceremony as the Chief Guest. Colonel SN Wijesinghe USP, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks were present at the certificate-awarding ceremony.
