Under the guidance and instruction of the Commander Security Force Headquarters – Jaffna , Major General Chandana Wijayasundara RSP USP ndu, an impressive and timely much needed series of lectures and workshops on “Prevention of illicit substance abuse within the Army”, were held with the participation of Officers and Other Ranks at Security Forces Headquarters Jaffna, 51, 52 and 55 Infantry Divisions headquarters premises from 21st June to 24th June in 2022.
This most hearts touching lecture series and the workshops for Officers and Other Ranks who serving in Jaffna peninsula were conducted by the Brigadier (Dr.) RMM Monaragala USP, Consultant Psychiatrist and his expertise from Army Mental Health Unit at ABH - CBO and Mental Health Team from Directorate of Preventive Medicine and Mental Health of Sri Lanka Army.
During the lectures and workshops, the professional lecturer team educated the troops on, Drug Prevention, Stress Management, Happy Married Life and Life Skills Development.
These impressive and timely important lecture series and workshops concluded by the expertise team by giving strong messages for the soldiers to refrain from the illicit substance abuse within the Army.
