In parallel with World Photography Day 2025, the 55 Infantry Division conducted a one-day photography workshop on 20 August 2025, under the guidance of Major General W M A B Wijekoon, USP, ndc, the General Officer Commanding of the 55 Infantry Division, at the lecture hall of Headquarters 551 Infantry Brigade.
The workshop was conducted by Corporal Madushanka M. A. W. S. of 2 SLCMP, from the Directorate of Media and Psychological Operations. The workshop aimed to promote photography skills among participants. During the workshop, participants learned the fundamentals of photography, explored advanced techniques, and discovered how to apply them practically, including ways to adjust lighting and color.
At the conclusion of the workshop, a token of appreciation was presented to the resource person in recognition of his valuable contribution. The event was attended by over 130 officers and other ranks from under command brigades and battalions.
