Under the visionary leadership of Major General Manada Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, Commander Security Forces (Jaffna), and spearheaded by Major General MPNA Muthumala USP psc, General Officer Commanding 51 Infantry Division, an inspiring book and school equipment donation programme was held on January 14, 2025, at the CIMIC Park premises. This initiative was thoughtfully conceptualized to nurture young minds and empower the future of children in the surrounding communities.
The programme aimed to address the financial challenges faced by families, ensuring that children have the necessary resources to access education without hindrance. Recognizing education as a transformative tool, this initiative emphasized its role in enabling children to build a secure and self-reliant future. Through the dedicated efforts of Major General Muthumala and his troops, this event embodied a collective commitment to sowing the seeds of knowledge and fostering progress for the nation.

The ceremony was attended by a distinguished audience, including the Brigadier General Staff (Security Forces Headquarters, Jaffna), the Deputy Inspector General of Jaffna, the Divisional Secretary of Kopay, donors, the Commander of the 512 Infantry Brigade, senior officers, officers, and other ranks. Their presence reflected a unified commitment to advancing educational opportunities for children in the region.
