52 Infantry Division troops of the Security Force Headquarters (Jaffna) welcomed their newly-promoted General Officer Commanding, Major General Kithsiri Liyanage RWP RSP ndu at the Divisional Headquarters on 05 November 2020.
A Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour accorded with military traditions saluted him upon his arrival at the HQ premises in Mirisuvil after his promotion. The newly-promoted GOC planted a sapling in the premises to mark the day and joined for an all rank tea afterwards.
521 and 522 Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers of under command Battalions and all staff officers of the 52 Infantry Division attended the ceremony.
This was arr in accordance to the health guide lines issued by AHQ and Ministry of health.
