The Commander Security Forces (Jaffna), Major General Sujeewa Hettiarachchi RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc, declared open the newly-built Other Ranks Holiday Bungalow, the 'Beach Edge' Holiday Bungalow, at T-Junction Palaly on 14th December 2023. The brainchild behind the construction was the Commander Security Forces (Jaffna), Major General Sujeewa Hettiarachchi RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc. Unveiling of the plaque of the bungalow followed blessings of all Officers and Other Ranks during a simple ceremony at an auspicious time.
The newly-constructed Other Ranks Holiday Bungalow includes well-furnished family rooms along with attached bathrooms, a long-felt need at Jaffna peninsula. 5th Engineer Services Regiment provided technical assistance and the overall construction responsibility while all troops under the SFHQ-Jaffna gave labour assistance for completion of the project.
General Officer Commanding of 55 Infantry Division, Brigadier General Staff, Brigadier Admin and Quartering, Staff Officers, Officers of Security Forces Headquarters (Jaffna) attended for the event.
