15 SLNG troops of 511 Infantry Brigade constructed a house for a deserving family in Urumpirai, Jaffna as the 770 project of Security Forces (Jaffna). The beneficiaries received the house from the Commander Security Forces (Jaffna), Major General SRK Hettiarachchi RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc on 04th July 2023.
The project was initiated as per the concept of Commander Security Forces (Jaffna) and technical assistance provided by troops of 15 Battalion Sri Lanka National Guard under Officiating Commanding Officer Major ADSD Athukorala SLNG. The construction of the house commenced on 8th March 2023 with financial contribution from Mrs Haily Madison, Mr Daniel Milan Balaraj and Vanni Aid of Canada. The donation was coordinated by Major General Ravi Rathnasingham (Retired).
During the brief ceremony, gifts and dry ration packs donated to the beneficiary’s family by the Commander. The ceremony was attend by General Officer Commanding 51 Infantry Division, Brigadier (Admin and Quartering) SF HQ (J), Commander 513 Infantry Brigade, Senior Officers Government Officials of the area, Members of the beneficiary family, relatives and neighbours of house recipient.
