Initiating another step of reconciliation process in Jaffna peninsula, the troops under Security Force (Jaffna) extended their support to build a shelter for Mrs. Desi Indra Rathish at Uduwil along with the financial donations made by Mr. Kumara Weerasooriya and his colleagues. Major General Senarath Bandara, Commander Security Force (Jaffna) on 14 January 2021, handed over the new house with essential home appliances to the deserving family. The donation was considered as a precious gift for the deserving family presented by Security Force (Jaffna) during the Thai Pongal festive season.
The much needed manpower for construction work was provided by the troops of 9th Battalion of Sri Lanka Light Infantry under 511 Brigade with the Supervision of 51 Division.
General Officer Commanding 51 Division, Brigadier General Staff – Security Force (Jaffna), Commanders 511, 512, 513 and 515 Brigades, Senior Officers, Troops and well wishers witnessed the handing over ceremony.
