Major General Chandana Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, the newly-appointed Commander Security Forces - Jaffna upon assumption of office paid initial homage to the sacred Nallur Kandaswamy Kovil in Jaffna.
The commander paid his initial visit to the Nallur Kandaswamy Kovil, Jaffna after assuming the office in the daybreak on 13th February 2024. A special ‘Aashirwada’ Pooja (blessing ceremony) of Hindu tradition added significance and dignity to the new Commander at the ancient temple.
The ‘Uttarayana Puja’ of the Kovil at the dawn of day was held and the Commander also took part in the ceremony with hundreds of Hindu devotees. At the end of the ceremony, the Commander presented cleaning items for the Kovil.
