The newly-appointed Brigade Commander of the 511 Infantry Brigade, Colonel TGIA Ariyaratne RSP IG of Sri Lanka Artillery assumed duties on 23 rd November 2023 at the Brigade Headquarters in Ottahapulam.
Upon on his arrival, the newly - appointed Brigade Commander was greeted to a Guard Turn Out at the Brigade’s main entrance by troops in conformity with military formalities.
A brief religious ceremony invoked blessings in the office where Colonel TGIA Ariyaratne RSP IG symbolically accepted duties in the 511 Infantry Brigade. Commanding Officers along with Staff Officers of the Brigade Headquarters and Other Ranks attended the occasion.
