Colonel WMAB Wijekoon USP of Gajaba Regiment assumed office as the 33 rd Commander of the 515 Infantry Brigade of 51 Division under Security Forces Headquarters - Jaffna (SFHQ-J) on Monday 16 August 2021 during a simple ceremony.
Afterward, 515 Brigade Commander Colonel WMAB Wijekoon placed his signature for an official document, symbolizing the formal acceptance of duties at the auspicious time and received greetings from all senior officers who were present at the occasion.
Finally, the new Brigade Commander planted a Mango sapling at HQ premises to mark his assumption of duties.
Commanding Officers of under command battalions, Staff Officers of the Brigade and Other Ranks attended the event.
