In Line with the Concept of the Clean Sri Lanka Programme, a Project was Implemented to Provide Sanitation Facilities for Low-Income Civilian Families.

According to the concept of the Clean Sri Lanka Programme implemented by the present government, and with the aim of creating a healthy environment for the future generation, a programme to construct and ceremonially hand over a sanitary facility for a low-income family living in the GN Division J/388 Valvettithurei (N/W), under the Point Pedro Divisional Secretariat, was carried out on 03 December 2025 under the patronage of the Commander, 521 Infantry Brigade .

This project was completed with the guidance and instructions of the Commander, 521 Infantry Brigade and with the labour contribution of the troops of the 11 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment. During the event, a letter of appreciation was presented to the Commander, 521 Infantry Brigade, to extend gratitude to the donor who provided the financial assistance required for the construction of the sanitary facility.

Meanwhile, as the next phase of the Clean Sri Lanka Programme, construction work on another sanitary facility for a low-income family residing in the J/353 Uduppiddy (N) GN Division has commenced. A total of 03 officers with 08 soldiers of the unit participated in this community welfare programme, which was highly appreciated by the local civilian community.
