Nearly eight families living in Vadarawatta, Magalankeni, Eluthumadduwal and Sivan Kovil Grama Niladari Divisions in Chavakachcheri Divisional Secretariat were displaced due to heavy rain and adverse weather condition prevailing in Jaffna peninsula on 26 November 2020.
Upon the directives of General Officer Commanding of 52 Infantry Division Major General Kithsiri Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, Officers and Other Ranks of the 7th Gajaba Regiment and 15th Gajaba Regiment under 522 Brigade expeditiously provided the displaced families with cooked meals as a prompt reaction to the disaster situation.
