On the direction and guidance of Major General SujeewaSenarathYapa RWP RSP ndu, Commander Security Forces (Jaffna), few programmes to revive ecosystem have been implemented coinciding the World Environmental Day in the Jaffna peninsula on 05 June 2022.
Troops of Security Forces (Jaffna) and locals together organized a cleanup operation along coastal belt of Charty Beach, Myliddy Beach and Beach in general area PPD and aimed to encourage the people to keep these beautiful beaches free from polythene and other plastic debris.
Further, tree planting programme to restore the ecosystem and distribution of coconut sapling to people in the peninsula were also carried out to mark the World Environment Day.
