Jaffna Troops Initiative to Uplift Health Facilities and Well-Being of Patients/Staff in Army Base Hospital (Palaly)

With the contribution of several well wishes and as per the conceptual guidance of the Commander Security Forces (Jaffna), Major General Chandana Wijayasundara RSP USP ndu, a newly constructed operating theatre “PRANAMA” and a kitchen to be utilized by hospital staff of Army Base Hospital (Palaly) was handed over amidst blessings of military personnel on 18th October 2022.

Major General ChandanaWijayasundara RSP USP ndu, the Commander Security Forces (Jaffna) symbolically handed over the newly established operating theatre “PRANAMA” and the kitchen to Major Lahiru Rathnaveera USP, the Commanding Officer of Army Base Hospital (Palaly) after visiting the hospital compound on 18th October 2022 at an official ceremony. Those were urgently required in order to uplift health facilities and well-being of patients and staff in the hospital.

The manpower assistance for the project was provided by the troops of the 5th Battalion Engineer Services Regiment under the guidance of Brigadier Clifford Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc, the Commander Forward Maintenance Area (North).

Senior Officers, troops and administrative Officers were associated with the day’s handover of the consignment.
