As per the request of hospital authorities of Valvettithurai Divisional Hospital, troops of 11 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment carried out a blood donation campaign at Ganapathi Mahal Valvettithuraion on 3rd March. More than 30 x Officers and Other Ranks voluntarily donated their blood on the day.
The blood donation campaign was launched as per the direction and guidelines of Major General YABM Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, the General Officer Commanding, 52 Infantry Division and Brigadier MHR Fernando RWP RSP USP, Brigade Commander, 521 Infantry Brigade. The hospital authorities assisted and guided military troops during blood donation and also treated by giving refreshment for all donators.
