Troops of the Security Force-Jaffna constructed one more new house for a deserving family at Chulipuram, Jaffna, financial support granted by the National Housing Development Authority.
Major General Priyantha Perera RWP RSP ndu, Commander Security Force- Jaffna graced the house-warming ceremony as the chief guest. The chief guest together with the recipient cut the ribbon and entered the house in auspicious time and formally handed over keys to the beneficiary, Mr Kadiran Govindasami on Tuesday, 13 July 2021 amid Hindu religious rites and rituals. During the ceremony, dry ration packs and essential household items which required for this newly opened house were provided to the owner of the house.
The troops of the 16th Battalion Gemunu Watch contributed their technical expertise and skilled labour for this construction under the close supervision of the Commander 513 Infantry Brigade.
General Officer Commanding 51 Division, Brigade Commanders of 511,512,513 and 515 Infantry Brigades, Senior Officers, Government Officials and troops of the Security Force Jaffna were participated for this ceremony under the strict health guidelines stipulated by the Army Headquarters.
