On the guidance of Major General Sujeewa Senarath Yapa, the Security Forces Commander (Jaffna), troops of 521 Infantry Brigade gifted 50 stationary packs to fifty well deserved school children in keeping the vision of brightening their future.
This donation programme was held under the supervision of Brigadier MM Salwathura, Commander 521 Infantry Brigade at Main Hall, Uduppiddy Girls School on 13 January 2022 in celebration of Thai Pongal festival.
The generous sponsorships for this charity were bestowed by Mr. Sri Krishamenan, Owner of Star Food City Atchchuveli, Mrs Sugandi, few other businessman and Brigade Commander and all officers of 521 Infantry Brigade.
Brigadier GGAS Wickramasena, General Officer Commanding 52 Infantry Division graced the event as the Chief Guest and Mr. Illangovan, Secretary to Ministry of Education and Cultural and Youth Affairs- Northern Province accompanied as the Guest of Honour.
Brigadier General Staff of SF (J) and few other senior officers from 52 Infatry Division and 521 Infantry Brigade were also present.
