Fallen War Heroes of the Indian Peace Keeping Force (IPKF) who fought against LTTE terrorists during 1987 - 1990 in Sri Lanka were commemorated and their sacrifices were remembered at the Indian Peace Keeping Force Monument in Palaly on Saturday, 26 January 2025 to coincide with the Republic Day of India.
Security Forces Headquarters (Jaffna) in collaboration with the Office of the Consul General of India to Sri Lanka in Jaffna organized the event. Mr. Shri Sai Murali S, Consul General of Indian to Sri Lanka in Jaffna and Major General Manada Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, Commander, Security Forces (Jaffna) paid tribute to the fallen war heroes of IPKF, placing floral wreaths at the IPKF monument during the brief and solemn ceremony.
Officials in the Office of Consul General of India to Sri Lanka in Jaffna, Senior Officers, Officers and troops attended the solemn ceremony.
