Fallen war heroes of the Indian Peace Keeping Force (IPKF) during operations against LTTE terrorists from 1987 to 1990 in Sri Lanka were commemorated and their sacrifices were remembered at the Indian Peace Keeping Force (IPKF) Monument in Palaly on 15th July 2023.
Security Forces Headquarters (Jaffna) in collaboration with the office of Consul General of India to Sri Lanka in Jaffna, organized the event. Consul General of India to Sri Lanka in Jaffna Mr. Shri Raakesh Natraj and the Commander Security Forces (Jaffna), Major General SRK Hettiarachchi RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc paid floral tribute to the fallen war heroes of IPKF, placing floral wreaths at the IPKF Monument during the brief and solemn ceremony.
Senior Officers, Officers, Officials in the Consul General of India to Sri Lanka and troops have also attended the solemn ceremony.
