Indian Assistant Defence Advisor Calls at Sf HQ - Jaffna

The Assistant Defence Advisor at the Indian High Commission in Sri Lanka, Lieutenant Colonel Mandeep Singh Negi paid a courtesy visit to Security Forces Headquarters – Jaffna in a testament to the enduring traditions of diplomatic relations on 02nd February 2024.

The visiting Indian Assistant Defence Advisor was warmly welcomed by the Commander Security Forces - Jaffna, Major General Chandana Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc on arrival at the office. During the cordial meeting that ensued, the Commander of Jaffna and Lieutenant Colonel Mandeep Singh Negi exchange views on impotency of strengthening the relationship of neighboring countries, Military diplomacy to enhance the bond between two nation, civil-military cooperation, social welfare projects, development assistance and the reconciliation process.

Lieutenant Colonel Mandeep Singh Negi signed the Visitor’s Book marking the significance of the visit to the Security Forces Headquarters - Jaffna. During the visit, Lieutenant Colonel Mandeep Singh Negi paid tribute to the memory of fallen IPKF war heroes placing floral wreaths at the IPKF Monument. Exchange of mementos between the Commander and Indian Assistant Defence Advisor culminated the day’s proceedings.
