The newly appointed General Officer Commanding of 52 Infantry Division Major General PR Pathiravithana USAWC psc, visited 521 Infantry Brigade, 522 Infantry Brigade, 523 Infantry Brigade and under command Infantry Battalions on 02, 04 and 08 July 2024.
The visiting GOC was honored in a Guard Turnout at each Brigade and Battalion by Commanders of the respective Brigade and Commanding Officers of respective Battalions.
Throughout the visit, the GOC engaged in detailed briefings related to the role, tasks and current operational status of the respective Brigades and Battalions. The, GOC also visited important places in the Area of Responsibility such as religious places, ammunitions dump and roadblocks manned by military personnel.
Colonel General Staff and Staff Officers of the 52 Infantry Division accompanied the GOC durung the visits.
