Major General MPNA Muthumala USP psc, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 51 Infantry Division, visited the 511 Infantry Brigade and 9th Sri Lanka Lighy Infantry Battalion, on 30 December 2024.
Upon his arrival to the Headquarters of 511 Infantry Brigade, the GOC was warmly received by the Commander and the Staff of the Brigade. Followed by a briefing conducted by the Brigade Commander, and finally GOC addressed the troops of the Brigade Headquarters.
Afterwards, GOC visited 9th Battalion, the Sri Lanka Light Infantry at Ideikadu and was warmly received by the Commanding Officer and the Staff of the Battalion. A briefing was conducted by the Commanding Officer and then the GOC addressed the troops of the Battalion and signed the visitors' book to mark it as an official visit.
