Providing community assistance for the homeless families, foundation stone laying ceremony for construction of another new house for Mr. Sinnathurai Sudan family of Muhavil was held on 08 September 2022, as per the guidance of General Officer Commanding 55 Infantry Division Major General Prasanna Gunaratne RSP ndu psc IG. The foundation stone was laid by the General Officer Commanding 55 Infantry Division, representative of the donor and the beneficiary amidst the religious blessings according to Hindu rituals.
The troops of 1 Mechanized Infantry Regiment provided manpower for the construction under the supervision of Commander 552 Infantry Brigade Brigadier Jayanath Jayaweera USP psc and the Programme was sponsored by the REECHER FARM Private Limited. End of the foundation laying ceremony, the General Officer Commanding 55 Infantry Division donated a dry ration pack for the deserving family.
