Forward Maintenance Area (North) Begins Logistic Workshop on Contemporary Case Studies

The inauguration of the Logistic Workshop on “Contemporary Case Studies” Phase 1 commenced on 27 September 2022 at Army camp Kankesanthurai for the Quarter Masters, Assistant Log Officers, Majors(Admin and Quartering), Battalion Second In Commanders and Commanding Officers. This workshop is consisted of 3 Phases that would cover the streams of Capital works, Marching in and out procedures, Ration and Fuel issue procedures, Basic Ordinance procedures and Board of surveys, Maintenance of Equipment and Vehicles and Maintain of Military Discipline.

The workshop has been structured under the conceptual and instructional directions of the Commander, Headquarters Logistics Command, Major General Indu Samarakoon Hdmc Lsc along with the inspirational directions of the Commander, Forward Maintenance Area (North), Brigadier Clifford Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc. The entire workshop was organized by the Forward Maintenance Area (North) with the approval of the Commander, Security Forces Headquarters (Jaffna), Major General Chandana Wijayasundara RSP USP ndu.

A selected group of 16 Officers from Formations/Battalion Headquarters participated during the 1 Phase throughout the stipulated period of the Logistic Workshop. The opening remarks were made by the Commander, Forward Maintenance Area (North), Brigadier Clifford De Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc.

Commencing the day’s proceedings, series of lectures were conducted by Commanding Officers and Second In Commanders of the 5th Battalion Engineers Services Regiment, 5th Battalion Sri Lanka Army Service Corps, 5th Battalion Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps, 4th Battalion Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps, 4th Battalion Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, 4th Battalion Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police and Army Base Hospital.
