A stock of medical equipment and other accessories for the use of COVID-19 victims and other patients have been granted to the Sri Lanka Army by the American Sri Lanka Foundation. 05 Oxygen Concentrator of 10 Leter, 40 Rebreather Adult Concentration Oxygen Mask, 10 Filter +1 Tube and 05 Pulse Ox meters were received by the Security Forces Headquarters Jaffna and they were officially donated to the Jaffna Teaching Hospital on 6th September 2021.
The medical equipment and other accessories were handed over to Dr, T Sathiyamoorthy, Director of Jaffna Teaching Hospital by Lieutenant Colonel Prasad Fernando, Senior Staff Officer 521 Infantry Brigade under direction of Commander Security Forces (Jaffna) and District Coordinator COVID - 19 Control and Prevention in Jaffna, Major General Jagath Kodithuwakku RWP RSP ndu.
The Security Forces Jaffna extends constant support to public in Jaffna in order to sea off the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Commanding Officers of 14th Battalion Gajaba Regiment and 4th Battalion Sri Lanka Medical Corps were also present at the occasion.
