52 Infantry Division under Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna on account of the 75th National Independence Day celebration distributed packs of essential items and coconut saplings to the residents in 52 Divisional AOR on Saturday 4th February.
Major General KPSA Fernando RWP RSP ndu, General Officer Commanding - 52 Infantry Division together with Brigadier KASK Siriwardena RWP RSP USP - Commander 523 Infantry Brigade, Colonel HAI Perera RSP USP Commander 521 Infantry Brigade, all Commanding Officers, group of senior officers and other rankers organized this philanthropic event at Cultural Hall Chavakachcheri and near the Kodikamam public bus stand where 100 packs of essential items (worth of 10,000 each) and 2000 coconut saplings distributed among the villagers.
The Navatkuli school children flashed out the eventwith some traditional Hindu cultural programmes.
DS Chavakachcheri, Zonal Education Director - Chavakachcheri, representative from Coconut Development Board - Palai attended the event representing and many other dignitaries witnessed this benevolent event at both locations.
