522 Infantry Brigade organized another community outreach programme on 18 November 2023 to distribute 1500 coconut saplings in Ampan area. This donation programme was implemented with the guidance of Major General YABM Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, General Officer Commanding, 52 Infantry Division and Brigadier KADCR Kannangara RSP, Commander, 522 Infantry Brigade.
The owner of “SK FARM” at Maruthankeni donated coconut saplings and, Major KHC Samanpriya, Commanding Officer, 10 (Volunteer) Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment and troops conducted the programme at Ampan village sports club. Major General YABM Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and DS – Maruthankeni, Field Officer of Pallai Coconut Development Society, Principal of Maruthankeni school and GS of Maruthankeni also participated in the event.
