Director General General Staff (Overlooking) / Quarter Master General and Master General Ordnance Officially Visited the Security Forces Headquarters (Jaffna)

Major General GMN Perera RWP RSP USP ndc, Director General General Staff (Overlooking) and Quarter Master General and Major General AK Rajapaksa RSP, Master General Ordnance made an official visit to Security Forces Headquarters (Jaffna) on Monday 29 April. The Principal Staff Officers were warmly welcomed by Major General MGWWWMCB Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, the Commander Security Forces (Jaffna), General Officer Commanding of 51 Infantry Division, General Officer Commanding of 55 Infantry Division and Logistics Commander (Jaffna).

The DGGS (Overlooking) / QMG, and MGO first arrived at the Cinema Theatre of the Security Forces (Jaffna) and day’s proceedings commenced with the welcome speech delivered by the Jaffna Commander. The first session of the conference was focused on matters related to General Staff Branch and the second session was focused on matters related to Admin and Quartering. During the conference, all important and pending matters related to both the Branches were discussed and the problems were sought out that are undercommand formations of the Security Forces (Jaffna). In addition, valuable thoughts were shared to improve knowledge and general understanding of officers in areas related to security, training, admin and logistics.

Concluding the day’s proceedings, both the Principal Staff Officers had a courtesy visit to Jaffna Commander’sOffice and made complimentary notes in the Visitors’ Book. Finally, Jaffna Commander presented mementos to the DGGS (Overlooking) and QMG, and MGO to mark the visit as official.

General Officer Commanding of 51 Infantry Division, General Officer Commanding of 55 Infantry Division, Logistics Commander (Jaffna), Deputy General Officer Commanding of 52 Infantry Division, Brigade Commanders, Staff Officers of General Staff Branch and Admin and Quartering Branch and Commanding Officers joined the conference.
