Major General Manada Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, the Commander of Security Forces - Jaffna, visited several historic religious sites in the Jaffna region on Monday, January 13, 2025, following his assumption of duties.
He began his spiritual journey at the historic Nagadeepa Temple, where he received blessings from the Chief Incumbent, Venerable Navadagala Padumakittithissa Thero. During this visit, he participated in the temple’s monthly almsgiving ceremony and discussed the recent development of the sacred precincts.
Later that day, Major General Yahampath visited the Sri Nagapooshani Amman Kovil in Nainativu Island, a revered Hindu shrine. He met with the temple’s trustee authorities and received blessings at this sacred site.
The Commander also paid homage at the Sri Nagavihara Temple in Jaffna, where he received blessings from the Chief Incumbent, Venerable Meegahajandure Siriwimala Thero.
He was accompanied by the Brigadier General Staff of Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna and several senior officers during these visits. These engagements reflect Major General Yahampath’s dedication to fostering interfaith harmony and supporting the development of the region’s cultural and spiritual heritage.
