Commander, Security Forces – Jaffna Meets District Secretary at District Secretariat Office, Kilinochchi

Newly appointed Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna, Major General Chandana Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, met the District Secretary of Kilinochchi Mrs. Rubawathy Ketheeswaran at District Secretariat Office during his official visit in 55 Infantry Division on 29 January 2024.

During the discussion, District Secretary has appreciated the Commander of Security Forces - Jaffna for visiting the government officials in order to strengthening the civil military cooperation in Jaffna Peninsula assuring the highest consideration and cooperation to the Senior Government officials, strengthening the long lasting bond of Civil Military Relations in Security Forces - Jaffna.

Major General Chandana Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc insisted the impotency of tranquility among society is utmost important and assured the dedication of forces to maintain the cordial relationship within the Jaffna. Further the Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna had an opportunity to interact with government officials including District Secretary and people in different capacities, religious leaders in Kilinochchi District. They were working forward for an intimate relationship with Security Forces and Commander Security Forces - Jaffna convey that Security Forces belongs to the people in this country and are looking forward to work with the people in Jaffna for the benefit of them.

General Officer Commanding, 55 Infantry Division, Major General Nalin Jayawardene RSP ndc, Deputy General Officer Commanding, Brigadier Rohan Rajapaksha RSP and Brigade Commander, 551 Infantry Brigade, Colonel Rajendra Wijeratne USP were also associated withthe official meeting. Towards the end of the meeting, Commander presented a memento to District Secretary to mark the 1st official visit.
