Commander Security Forces (Jaffna) Visits Logistic Command and 4 SLCMP

Major General YABM Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, the Commander Security Forces (Jaffna), conducted an official visit to the Logistic Command (Jaffna) and the 4th Battalion Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (4 SLCMP) on 28 March 2025. The visit aimed to strengthen coordination and assess operational readiness within these crucial military establishments.

Upon arrival at the Logistic Command, Major General Yahampath was warmly received by the Logistic Commander, Major General MN Fernando RSP. In a gesture of camaraderie, he posed for a group photograph with all Commanding Officers of Logistics Units and the staff of the Logistic Command. Following this, he addressed the troops, highlighting the importance of logistical efficiency and operational preparedness.

Following the engagements at the Logistic Command, Major General Yahampath proceeded to the Headquarters of the 4th Battalion SLCMP. He was welcomed by the Commanding Officer and staff, with whom he posed for another group photograph to commemorate the occasion. Commander Security Forces Jaffna then joined the All Ranks Tea, further reinforcing his commitment to engaging with troops at all levels.

Brigadier Admin and Quartering, Colonel General Staff, and Staff Officer 1 (Logistic) of Security Forces Headquarters (Jaffna) were also present during the visit, underlining the significance of this event in strengthening military coordination and operational effectiveness.

The visit of Major General Yahampath underscored the importance of logistical excellence and military policing in maintaining the efficiency of Security Forces in Jaffna. His interactions with the troops and leadership at both locations served to enhance motivation and cohesion within the ranks.
