Commander Security Forces (Jaffna) Visits 52 Infantry Division & Hands Over New House to Needy Family in Puwatkarei, Point Pedro

As part of the ongoing housing project of the Security Forces (Jaffna), Major General YABM Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, the Commander, Security Forces (Jaffna) handed over the keys of the newly constructed house to the deserving family in Pawatkarei, Point Pedro on 06 January.

The Jaffna Commander vested the house to the beneficiary, Mr. Kandan Arasan and family amidst religious blessings. This new house was constructed by the troops of 4th Battalion Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (4 SLSR) with the generous patronage of philanthropists, Mr Junesh and Sami Cinnaiya who reside in USA through the “Wanni Aid Canada” organization and treasuries were coordinated by Major General (Retired) Ravi Rathnasingham.

Mr. S Sathyaseelan, the Divisional Secretary of Point Pedro, government officials and religious leaders of the area were also present on the occasion.

Afterwards, Jaffna Commander made his first official visit to Headquarters, 52 Infantry Division where he performed his duties as the General Officer Commanding. He was warmly welcomed by Major General PR Pathiravithana USAWC psc, the General Officer Commanding and Staff following the military traditions and customs.

The Commander, Security Forces (Jaffna) participated in a series of events at Headquarters, 52 Infantry Division premises including a briefing by the General Officer Commanding on Role, Task and duties carried out by the Division, group photograph and troops address.

Brigadier Coordination (V) of Security Forces (Jaffna) along with Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks serving under 52 Infantry Division took part in these events.
