Major General YABM Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, the newly-appointed Commander, Security Forces (Jaffna) made his first official visit to Headquarters, 51 Infantry Division on 05 January. He was warmly welcomed by Major General MPNA Muthumala USP psc, the General Officer Commanding and Staff following the military traditions and customs.
The Commander, Security Forces (Jaffna) participated in a series of events at Headquarters, 51 Infantry Division premises including a briefing by the General Officer Commanding on Role and Task and duties carried out by the Division, group photograph and troops address.
In conjunction with the visit, the Jaffna Commander opened the computer lab and its first computer course at the CIMIC Park premises. Afterwards, he attended to witness the football match played by under 15 boys and it was organized as part of the CIMIC calendar of the Division in order to develop sports ability of youngsters living in surrounding villages under the guidance of the General Officer Commanding.
Brigadier Coordination (V) of Security Forces (Jaffna) along with Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks serving under 51 Infantry Division took part in these events.
