Commander Security Forces Jaffna Reviewed The Situation on Covid – 19 in Jaffna

Major General Priyantha Perera RWP RSP ndu Commander Security Forces Jaffna who was appointed as the Chief Coordinator for controlling and prevention of Covid-19 in Jaffna District presided a reviewing conference on Covid – 19 control operations in Jaffna District on 12 March 2021 at the Government Agent’s Office Jaffna.

Initially commenting on these discussion, the GA stated that the current situation in Jaffna pertaining to Covid-19 has been deteriorating mainly due to the negligence of the general public. Subsequently, the Regional Director of Health Services presented a statistical data of the current situation and was briefed on the existing regulations.

During the discussion, representatives of other health agencies also raised their concerns regarding Covid – 19, and the Commander Security Force stated that he was ready to provide all necessary assistance to alleviate the situation.

Finally, the GA appreciated the support provided by the security forces so far and stated that the people of the Jaffna District need future military assistance.

District Secretary Mr Kanapathipllai Maheshan, Assistance District Secretary Mr M. Piratheepan, Divisional Secretaries, Senior Superintendent of Police Jaffna, Senior Superintendent of Police Kankesanthurai, Officers from Navy And Air force, Director – Health Services Jaffna Dr Shatheyamoorthi, Several heads of the Health Services, Public Health Inspectors and Government Officials were attended the Conference.
