As part of the ongoing housing project of the Security Forces (Jaffna), Major General MGWWWMCB Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, the Commander, Security Forces (Jaffna) handed over the key of a newly constructed house to a deserving family in Ilavalai on 18 October 2024.
The Jaffna Commander vested the house to the beneficiary, S/167231 Gunner Vinothraj AV and family in Illavalai North amidst religious blessings. This new house was constructed by the troops of 10th Regiment, Sri Lanka Artillery (10 SLA), with the generous patronage from philanthropists, including Mr. Lion P. Sivakumar, Mr. Gamini Rathnayake, Mr. Jeyaraj, Mr. Vajindra Kannangara, Mrs. Rithuban, Mr Amarasingam Dushyandam, Bombardier Jayathissa YM and the troops of 10 SLA.
The house was constructed under the direction of Major General WBJK Wimalarathne RWP RSP, General Officer Commanding of 51 Infantry Division with the guidance of Brigadier EMLP Ekanayake USP, Commander of 513 Infantry Brigade and close supervision of Major SPRS Palliyaguru RSP psc, Commanding Officer of 10th Regiment, Sri Lanka Artillery.
Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, government officials, family members and villagers were present at the occasion.
