Commander Northern Naval Area Pays Courtesy Call on the Commander Security Forces (Jaffna)

Rear Admiral B Liyanagamage RWP RSP USP ndc psc, MPhil, MA SS (CT:P&S) USA, MSc (DS) Mgt, BSc (DS) Mech Eng, AFNI, JP (Whole Island), the Commander Northern Naval Area, paid a courtesy call on Major General KTP De Silva RSP ndu psc, the Commander Security Forces (Jaffna), on 03 February 2026 at the Security Forces Headquarters, Jaffna. The Rear Admiral was warmly welcomed by the Commander Security Forces (Jaffna), and the meeting was held in a cordial and professional setting.

During the discussion, both senior officers exchanged views on matters of mutual importance, with particular emphasis on strengthening inter-service cooperation, enhancing joint operational understanding, and ensuring continued peace and security in the Northern Province. The dialogue also highlighted the military’s various role in regional stability, including community engagement initiatives and collaborative efforts to address contemporary security challenges.

The courtesy call concluded in a warm and friendly atmosphere, confirming the commitment of both the Sri Lanka Army and the Sri Lanka Navy to work in unity and harmony towards safeguarding national security and the wellbeing of the people.
