Australian High Commissioner Meets Jaffna Commander

H.E. Mr. David Holly, the Australian High Commissioner in Sri Lanka together with Captain Ian Cain, the Defence adviser of Australian High Commission in Sri Lanka, Mr. Brett Zehnder, the Counsellor Custom and Border Protection, Ms. Lara Sveinsson, third Secretary (Political) and Research and Information Officer and Mr. Trivan Annakkarage, research and Information officer paid a visit to Security Forces Headquarters (Jaffna) on 02nd December 2021 and was warmly welcomed by the Commander Security Forces (Jaffna) Major General Jagath Kodithuwakku RWP RSP ndu.

The Commander and the Australian delegation had a cordial exchange of views on matters pertaining to the Civil - Military Coordination, Reconciliation and re-integration process within the Jaffna peninsula and mutual interests. Moreover, Security Forces Commander conducted a comprehensive briefing to the delegation on the current role and tasks of the Security Forces in Jaffna and ongoing projects under taken to promote reconciliation activities and ethnic harmony with special focus on civil-military cooperation.

The visiting delegation and Security Forces Commander exchanged mementoes symbolizing the goodwill towards the end of the interaction and finally, High Commissioner pen his gratitude in the visitor's book before the delegates leave the headquarter premises.
