As an effective way to bring communities together and make people more appreciative of their common environment, the troops of 1Mechanized Infantry Regiment conducted a programme to clean the Kaddaikadu Beach on 4th February 2024.
This programme was organized as per the guidance of General Officer Commanding, 52 Infantry Division and under the supervision of Commander, 522 Infantry Brigade.
The residents around Kaddaikaduarea highly appreciated the collaborative activity performed by the Army, since ocean trash is a serious pollution problem that affects the health of the people, marine wildlife and local economies.
