Giving a boost to the Army-Improvising Intermediate Care Centre (ICC) at Navatkuli, the management of Ceylon Engineering Consultancy Bureau (CECB) donated 100 number of beds to the Army for use in case of any emergency, on Tuesday, 1 June 2021.
The construction of the Navatkuli Intermediate Care Centre comprising of 300 bed capacity was initiated few weeks ago by the Security Force Jaffna on the direction of General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhill, Head of the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO), Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army.
Mr. A Pushparaja, the Chief Operation Engineer and Mr. A Sathayadashan, Senior Operation Engineer of the Ceylon Engineering Consultancy Bureau after meeting Commander Security Force (Jaffna) and District Coordinator COVID - 19 Control and Prevention of Jaffna, Major General Priyantha Perera RWP RSP ndu at Navatkuli ICC premises symbolically handed over one such bed. Further, Commander Security Force (Jaffna) appreciated the company's concern towards the ICC facility needed and thanked Mr. A Pushparaja and A Sathayadashan.
On the direction of the Commander Security Force Jaffna Major General Priyantha Perera RWP RSP ndu , General Officer Commanding of 52 Division, Major General Harendra Peiris RWP RSP USP ndu had coordinated with Ceylon Engineering Consultancy Bureau to receive this much needed donation.
General Officer Commanding of 52 Infantry Division, Brigadier General Staff and Brigadier Admin and Quartering of Security Force Headquarters (Jaffna) , Commander 522 Infantry Brigade, Commander 523 Infantry Brigade, Senior officers and troops were also presented themselves at the event.
