The Security Forces Headquarters Jaffna donated an Oxygen Concentrator to the Tellippalai Base Hospital for the use of COVID-19 Patients in an emergency. The Commanding Officer of 4th Battalion Medical Corps, Major Chinthana Kumara officially handed over the Oxygen Concentrator to Dr. P Thileepan, Medial Superintendent of Tellippalai Base Hospital, on 5th October 2021.
This donation programme was undertaken on the direction of Commander Security Forces (Jaffna) and District Coordinator COVID - 19 Control and Prevention in Jaffna, Major General Jagath Kodithuwakku RWP RSP ndu.
Oxygen Concentrators for the use of COVID-19 victims and other patients have been granted to the Sri Lanka Army by the American Sri Lanka Foundation.
