The Teaching Hospital Jaffna celebrates ‘World Blood Donor Day (WBDD) on 27th June 2023 at the College of Nursing in (Jaffna).
On this occasion, the Regional Blood Centre Jaffna offers special appreciation to Sri Lanka Army for arranged a large number of blood donation campaigns and unpaid blood donors for their life-saving gifts of blood. Further, they highlighted the Sri Lanka Army personnel have donated mostly during the campaigns held in Jaffna Peninsula.
Mrs P.S.M. Charles, the Governor of Northern Province grace this event as the Chief Guest. Mr.A. Sivabalasundran, District Secretary of Jaffna as the Guest of Honour, Dr.T. Peranantharajah, General Physician of Teaching Hospital, Jaffna as the Special Guest, Dr.T. Sathiyamoorthy, Director of Teaching Hospital Jaffna, Chairman of Sri Lanka Red Cross Society - Jaffna Branch, Dr.A.N. Hettiarachchi, Consultant of Blood Transfusion Physician of Regional Blood Centre of Teaching Hospital Jaffna, representatives of Sri Lanka Army and Commanding Officer of 4th Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps, Major Chintana Kumara were attend this event.
