Annual Concerts of Lakdaru Preschool - Nawatkuli

Under the direction of General Officer Commanding, 52 Infantry Division and Commander, 523 Infantry Brigade troops coordinated the year end concert of Lakdaru preschool Nawatkuli on 10 December 2023 at Nawatkuli School Hall, with the assistance of the 11 Field Engineer Regiment.

Nawatkuli Village is the sole Sinhala populated village in Jaffna peninsula, and this preschool was started in January 2021. The preschool, registered under the Early Childhood Education Development Authority of Northern Provincial Education Department, held the annual concert for the first time with the participation of students.

During the concert, stationary items and toys for all students, worth of Rs. 90,000.00 coordinated by General Officer Commanding, 52 Infantry Division, school uniforms and stationary worth of Rs. 175,000.00 donated by Thiyagi Charitable Trust Pvt. Jaffna, musical items for band and a first aid box worth of Rs. 125,000.00 donated by THAVAM foundation Jaffna and school uniforms for next year students worth of Rs. 50,000.00 donated by Imaging Compassion International PLC Australia were distributed among the students.

General Officer Commanding, 52 Infantry Division, Major General Manada Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, Deputy General Officer Commanding, 52 Infantry Division, Brigadier Anil Perera RWP RSP USP, Lieutenant Colonel Bandula Rathnayaka USP, Civil Affairs Officer 52 Infantry Division, Commanding Officer 7 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, Officers and Other Ranks of 523 Infantry Brigade, parents and the villages participated in the concert.
