H E Mr. Dominik Furgler , the Ambassador of Switzerland to Sri Lanka and Maldives along with officials visited the Security Force Headquarters – Jaffna on Thursday, 18 February 2021. The visiting officials were warmly welcomed by the Commander Security Force – Jaffna, Major General Priyantha Perera RWP RSP ndu.
During the cordial meeting, the comprehensive briefing on matters pertaining to the Civil - Military Coordination (CIMIC) and Reconciliation Process, in Jaffna peninsula were delivered by the Commander, Security Force – Jaffna. Further, he highlighted the recruitment of Tamil youth to the army both officers and other rankers, Cultural affairs, contribution of army to uplift the welfare of schoolings during the presentation.
The Ambassador of Switzerland and his first secretary (Political Affair) Mrs. Sidonia Gabrial and other official were surprised when they were aware of the relation between people of the Jaffna peninsula and Sri Lanka Army.
Brigadier General Staff and General Staff Officer 1 (Ops and Trg) of Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna were also participated.
