Ambassador of Japan to Sri Lanka Visits Security Forces Headquarters Jaffna

Ambassador of Japan to Sri Lanka H.E. Mr, Mizukoshi Hideaki paid a courtesy visit to the Security Forces Headquarters Jaffna on 29th June 2022. H.E. the Ambassador and the visiting delegation were warmly welcomed by the Jaffna Commander’s representative, General Officer Commanding of 55 Infantry Division, Major General Prasanna Gunaratne RSP ndu psc IG at the headquarters premises of Security Forces Jaffna.

The delegation discussed on current engagements of Security Forces and commitment to wellbeing of the people, green agriculture projects , Support provided to smooth functioning of essential services under existing situation and in promotion of Peace and Reconciliation in the Jaffna peninsula with special emphasis on reconciliation process in order to upgrade the civil-military development programmes. After the comprehensive briefing and discussion with the Security Forces Jaffna, Ambassador, the H.E. Mizukoshi Hideaki greatly appreciated the service of Security forces.

Before leaving the visiting Ambassador, left his compliments in the visitors’ book and made a special note, appreciating the security forces of Jaffna for their sheer Commitment and dedication towards strengthening the Peace, Democracy & Justice among Jaffna people.

Finally, General Officer Commanding of 55 Infantry Division, Major General Prasanna Gunaratne RSP ndu psc IG and H.E. the Ambassador exchanged mementoes for further strengthening of goodwill and cooperation.
