Responding to the request of the local populace in Poonaryn area, the troops belonging to 22 Viyayabahu Infantry Regiment and 2 Sri Lanka National Guard under command to 552 Infantry Brigade immediately attended to the leakages that developed on the tank bunds of Pallawarayankaddu Tank, Pandiwetti kulam Tank and Nagapadduwan on 17, 18 December 2023 as water levels swelled due to torrential rains.
Brigade Commander, 552 Infantry Brigade and Commanding Officers, 22 Viyayabahu Infantry Regiment and 2 Sri Lanka National Guard supervised the tireless work of the troops which was conducted under the guidance of General Officer Commanding, 55 Infantry Division.
