In line with the Sri Lanka Army 76 Anniversary, under the visionary leadership of Major General KAN Rasika kumara ndu psc, Comd Security Forces Headquarters (Jaffna) and the guidance of Major General WMAB Wijekoon USP ndc, GOC 55 Infantry Division with the supervision of Brigadier TBMR Kandekumbura RSP USP, Comd 551 Infantry Brigade, The Troops of 551 Infantry Brigade, 7 SLLI and 11(V) GR organized a Blood Donation Campaign in collaboration with District General hospital Kilinochchi Blood Bank on 09 October 2025 at 551 Infantry Brigade - Kilinochchi.
A total No of 96 military personnel, and venerable Nawagamuwe Dhammananda thero were donated their blood to replenish the much needed blood requirement in the area. Officers and Other Ranks from HQ 55 Infantry Division, 551, 552, and 553 Infantry Brigades, 7 SLLI, 6SLSR, 10 GR, 11(V) GR, 2 SLNG and 14 SLNG were participated in the program.
