55 Infantry Division Headquarters of Security Forces Jaffna marked its 24th (Twenty fourth) Anniversary with a few special programmes on Wednesday 23 December 2020.
In accordance with military formalities, Major General Sisira Pilapitiya General Officer Commanding 55 Division was accorded Guard Turnout by the troops of 12 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment.
The day’s programme unfolded with many events. The renovated kitchen building was declared open by the General Officer Commanding. After the group photograph and troops address the Anniversary programme concluded with the All Ranks lunch.
Brigade Commanders, Senior Staff Officers, Commanding Officers, Officers and Troops were present at the occasion.
